I'm the site admin and founder. I created Metal Clover as a potential community of media enthusiasts and a hobbyist resource for video games, music, films, and media generally. I have a large personal collection of games, which are mostly retro by today's standards. I particularly enjoy the PS1 and PS2 libraries. My favorite game genres include 3D platformers, immersive sims, stealth games, shmups, run-and-guns, and metroidvanias.
I have been a part of many internet subcultures/movements since I was a child in the early 2000s. I was frequent poster on /v/ for many years, as well as an avid Newgrounds fan and lover of Flash games. Beginning in 2007, I was uploading animations to Youtube made with Pivot Stick Figure Animator, which was a very popular early phenomenon on Youtube at the time.
As a producer of music, I helped contribute to the 2010s cloud rap, vaporwave and future-bass scenes on Soundcloud and Tumblr around that time. In the early 2020s, I also contributed to the burgeoning glitch rap scene. My favorite bands and artists include Underworld, Everything Everything, Main Attrakionz, Friendzone, Prefab Sprout, The Hellp, After, Squarepusher, and Lil B.
